Our Warranty
CapitalNcoating provides a two (2) year warranty to the original customer on all powder coating and ceramic coating services. This warranty covers adhesion failure or coating defects resulting from workmanship, including chipping, flaking, or cracking of the powder coating.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper use, impact damage, road or curb rash, chemical exposure, excessive heat beyond the coating’s rating, or any modifications or repairs performed after coating.
Any exclusions or special conditions must be agreed upon and documented in writing by both parties prior to coating application.
At its discretion, CapitalNcoating will repair or re-coat the affected item if a valid warranty claim is approved. This warranty is limited to the coating service only and does not include removal, reinstallation, shipping, or related labor costs unless otherwise stated in writing.
Exclusions and Limitations
All parts submitted to CapitalNcoating for powder coating must be capable of withstanding curing temperatures of up to 450°F, including any welded or soldered areas. CapitalNcoating is not responsible for damage resulting from materials, welds, solder, or components that cannot tolerate these temperatures.
This warranty does not apply to coating failure or damage caused by mishandling, shipping damage, misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or customer modifications or alterations, including conditions that lead to premature corrosion or coating failure.
CapitalNcoating will not perform additional or corrective work unless there is a written or verbal agreement from the customer prior to the work being completed.
Items with improper fabrication, construction, or design are not covered under warranty. This includes, but is not limited to:
Seams, overlaps, or enclosed areas where powder coating cannot fully reach the interior surfaces
Welded or soldered components containing pinholes, air pockets, or voids
Areas where moisture or contaminants can become trapped, leading to rust, corrosion, or coating failure
These conditions are inherent to the part’s construction and are outside the responsibility of CapitalNcoating.
CapitalNcoating does not warranty parts that are supplied pre-prepped by the customer or a third party. Because the preparation process and materials used are unknown, warranty coverage applies only to surfaces prepped entirely by CapitalNcoating staff.
CapitalNcoating is not responsible for damage to completed items that are not picked up within ten (10) days of completion unless prior arrangements have been made and acknowledged.
Why These Exclusions Exist
Powder coating is a high-temperature, permanent finish that depends heavily on proper material selection, fabrication quality, and surface preparation. While CapitalNcoating follows industry-proven processes and strict quality standards, certain factors are outside of our control once a part is manufactured, modified, or used.
Exclusions exist to ensure transparency and fairness for both parties and to clearly define the limits of what powder coating can realistically protect against. Issues such as improper fabrication, trapped moisture, unsuitable materials, pre-prepped surfaces, excessive heat exposure, or post-coating damage can all lead to coating failure even when the coating itself was applied correctly.
By outlining these exclusions up front, CapitalNcoating can:
Set clear expectations before work begins
Deliver consistent, high-quality results
Stand behind our workmanship with confidence
Avoid misunderstandings after completion
If you have questions about a specific part, material, or use case, we encourage you to discuss it with us before coating begins. We’re always happy to review parts in advance and recommend the best solution for long-term durability and performance.
